A bypass diode keeps the panel producing when part of it falls into shade, instead of the whole panel dropping out, which matters on a vehicle roof where an awning, aerial or roof rack will shade something at some point in the day. The anti-reflective tempered glass resists hail, stones and knocks, and the frame is built to take vibration off corrugated road. Pre-drilled mounting points.
