An ignition trigger wire starts and stops charging with the engine, which is what makes it work properly on modern smart alternators, and automatic battery isolation prevents the auxiliary bank drawing down your starter battery when the engine is off. Lithium wake-up will safely revive a LiFePO4 battery that has dropped into low-voltage protection without you pulling it out and putting it on a bench charger. Maximum input current is adjustable through the Bluetooth app, so you can limit the draw on a hybrid or a weak alternator without reducing the charger's output. This charger needs 6AWG cable from the starter battery, or the KickAss Heavy Duty Plug and Play Wiring Kit. Neither is included, undersized cable on a 40A run will drop voltage and the charger will not reach full output.
