How to choose the right Pot or Planter your landscape?

Choosing the right pot, planter or trough can be tricky. There are many factors you’ll need to consider. The type of plant, the climate, the amount of sunlight and water the plant needs. Along with the size of the pot.

Some plants need to be in a pot that is deep and narrow, while others may need a shallower and wider pot.  While artificial plants can go in any pot that can fit the base, live plants will always need drainage.

How do I choose the right size plant pot? 

When it comes to choosing the right size pot for you plants, there are a few things you'll need to take into consideration. 

• First, you'll need to think about the size of the plant itself. You'll want to make sure that the pot is big enough for the plant to comfortably fit in, but not so big that the plant looks lost in the pot. 
• Second, you'll need to think about the type of plant you're potting – some will be happy in narrow pots while others will need a wider base.

Remember: Choose your planter with a diameter 2.5cm wider than your plant's root system to make sure it doesn’t get strangled.
