Our compost worm mix includes Reds, Tigers, African Nightcrawlers, and the occasional Blue. Our mix mainly contains adult worms. We’ve found that sending mature worms, instead of babies, helps them settle into their new home better. The adults will already be laying cocoons, which will help establish your worm population faster. Your worms will be ready to start munching on scraps right away, but give them some time to settle in and adapt to their new food. Start with small amounts of food and gradually increase as they consume it faster.
